Energy Psychology (EP) considers a variety of approaches aimed to improve overall human brain and body functioning. EP takes a mindful look at thoughts, emotions, behaviors and sensations and how bioenergy systems are impacting them. We learn of different energies through grade school science or just seeing the light each morning, but it is rarely considered how these energies are impacting every element of our lives. Looking at the other side, it is not always considered how we are influencing or working with/against the energies surrounding us.
EP looks at the bio-energetic patterns within a mind-body-energy system and how emotional and physical issues are being impacted. By considering scientific factors such as complex communication involving neurobiological considerations, electrophysiology, psychoneuroimmunology, consciousness and cognitive-behavioral-emotional patterns alignment can be met.
Energy Psychology has been positively associated with many areas of health, well-being and brain/body performance. EP is a holistic approach that can be applied in many forms including psychotherapy, counseling, coaching, integrative medicine and many others. Some formalities of treatment include meridians, chakras, biofields and electromagnetic activity of the body and nervous system.
